Job Description

The Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for EV Construction and oversees/direct the client's Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC) construction projects from conception to completion and handover to Operations and Maintenance, at the direction of the Construction Team Lead. The CM applies in-depth subject knowledge as an independent practitioner in construction, DCFC installs or utility installs and performs a supporting role in multi-discipline team planning and execution support of electric vehicle projects.

*Up to 25% travel should be expected with this role

Key accountabilities:

  • Deliver safe, compliant, reliable, competitive, and productive electric vehicle chargers through cross-functional collaboration in the design and execution of construction of charging sites.
  • Assure that EV charging control and process safety risks are recognized and managed in design and operations.
  • Provide technical guidance when execution issues or problems occur.
  • Support the sharing and implementation of lessons learned, best practices, success on new technology/technique trials and operational efficiencies gained from assigned asset and transfer learning across assets.
  • Provide engineering and constructability input to design and operations per the requirements of Electric Vehicle infrastructure projects.
  • Prepares accurate time and cost estimates to support project FMs and well AFEs.
  • Develops programs that adhere to the Technical File Notes and associated Completions Design Documents.
  • Reviews benchmarking of execution and performance to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Supports EV Construction Team Lead and EV Project Managers.
  • Travels frequently to conduct field site assessments of individual properties, oversees vendor progress, meets with local stakeholders, support vendor training, and documents evidence of project progress and quality control.
  • Monitors and controls program performance by managing and updating processes to ensure effective project management at all stages of program.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree, certification or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in industry with focus on construction, utility.
  • interconnection, electrical contractor duties and construction management.
  • Experience managing many simultaneous construction projects and related contracts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EV charging or network company a plus.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $125K-$150 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
