Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager with over 5 years of experience as an owner's representative or in general contracting, specifically within data center construction. The role is onsite at an AWS Data Center project located in Frederick, MD, focusing on the expansion of an existing data center. This project will run until the end of 2026, with opportunities for further projects thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee data center construction projects as an owner's representative or general contractor.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the end client, providing updates on project progress and financials.
- Identify potential issues within the project and proactively address them to prevent escalation.
- Conduct and lead meetings with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and manage general contractors or subcontractors effectively.
- Monitor project permitting, financing, and tracking of progress and financials.
- 5+ years of experience in data center construction as an owner's representative or general contractor.
- Strong knowledge of commercial ground-up or interior construction.
- Proficiency in managing change orders and project management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to foresee and mitigate project risks.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Experience in financial tracking and project financial management.
This position requires onsite presence at the AWS Data Center in Frederick, MD, five days a week. Depending on the next project, there may be opportunities for remote work. You will be working with a nationwide owner's representative organization that operates in all sectors of construction, offering a diverse range of projects
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $1250000.00/hr.
