Primary Function:
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned high voltage electrical installation projects from pre-construction through project completion. Assignments typically include managing project safety, material handling, quality, schedule, estimates, cost control, field personnel and subcontracts. Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all the following functions: Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day construction activities. Provide direction and participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establishing critical project objectives. Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure that requested materials are expedited and received per project schedule. Develop new and manage existing client relationships while interfacing with the client on project related items. Develop new and manage existing subcontractor relationships based on previous experience in the Electric Power Industry. Verify all applicable project permits are secured in accordance with the project requirements. Review, approve, and communicate internal and external reports including project budgeting and status reports. Collaborate with engineering to implement design changes in the field. Comply with Company policies and procedures. Other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Science, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of construction experience in the Electric Power Industry is required. Equivalent field experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Job Qualifications: Experience in estimating, subcontracting, and scheduling EPC projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time. Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to obtain a TWIC card if applicable to assigned project.
