CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – Industrial Elevators (Remote / Travel-Heavy) Location: Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zones preferred) Travel: Up to 65% (Project-based travel required) Salary: $129K- $160K- Commensurate with experience About the Role Are you a seasoned construction professional ready to lead complex industrial projects? We’re seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the installation, refurbishment, and modernization of rack-and-pinion industrial elevator systems across industrial job sites. This hands-on field leadership role blends construction management, union workforce oversight, and client coordination. You’ll ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest technical standards — all while building strong relationships with field crews and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage industrial elevator installation and modernization projects from initiation through closeout. Collaborate with and supervise union ironworkers and subcontractors to maintain project timelines and safety standards. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering designs to ensure accurate implementation on-site. Act as the primary liaison between clients, field crews, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Manage compliance with ASME standards and site-specific regulations. Conduct regular field visits to job sites (up to 65% travel required). Required Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in industrial construction management. At least 10 years of total hands-on field experience (ironworking, electrical trades, welding, or similar). Ability to obtain a TWIC card within 90 days of employment. Demonstrated success in managing field teams and coordinating multiple tasks under pressure. Strong skills in project planning, contractor coordination, and technical problem-solving. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in elevator installation or modernization. Licensed elevator mechanic (state-specific licensure). Familiarity with ASME 17.1 codes and compliance. Background in managing multiple subcontractors on industrial job sites. In-depth understanding of construction contracts, safety compliance, and QA/QC. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Work Environment & Location Remote-first position unless based in Shelton, CT or Houston, TX. Must be able to work and attend meetings during Eastern or Central Time Zone business hours.
