Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Coordinator/Construction Manager to lead major water and wastewater infrastructure renewal projects. This role involves comprehensive construction inspection, administration, and management coordination to ensure contractor activities are aligned with plans and specifications. You will be responsible for reviewing onsite construction work for compliance with Contract Drawings and Specifications, facilitating communication between the Owner and Contractor, and assisting with construction administration tasks including RFIs, RFCs, field orders, claims, submittal and schedule reviews, meetings, and payment applications. Additionally, you will supervise and train Field Coordinators and possess a strong understanding of technical disciplines related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance.

Work Environment

The position entails working 40 hours per week from 7 AM to 3 PM, predominantly onsite in Detroit for a 5-year-long GLWA project. You will work at various sites, primarily water/wastewater treatment facilities, and conduct office work in a nearby trailer or occasionally at the office in Southfield. The office lease is set to expire at the end of the year, with hopes to relocate to the Troy area. This role offers the opportunity to mentor a team of 4 junior inspectors, with guaranteed work for the next 5 years. The firm operates year-round with a focus on GLWA projects, providing significant career growth potential, and offers straight-time overtime for salaried employees
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
