Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and execute mechanical maintenance projects and provide maintenance support for plant equipment.
- Safely performing installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on all plant mechanical equipment
- Support mill maintenance during downdays and outages and otherwise as needed
- Ability to cut and weld for fabrication
- Corrective and preventive maintenance problem resolution
- Ability to perform sprocket alignments, change various types of bearings, and ability to properly measure layouts
- Properly and safely rig heavy machinery components
Job Qualifications
A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and industrial mechanical experience, 3 years preferred
- Willing to work overtime and weekends with occasional travel to other company facilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to grasp complex concepts and pay attention to detail
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Outstanding attendance record
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
