Construction Operations Analyst

Join Suffolk's Operational Excellence team as a Construction Operations Analyst, a critical player in our Mission Control modelan analytics-driven approach to improving project outcomes across cost, schedule, safety, and quality. This role is at the center of our strategy to proactively surface risks, guide interventions, and help project teams drive predictable results.

You'll collaborate closely with project teams, national leaders, and data partners to monitor project and portfolio performance, identify early warning signs, and recommend actionable solutions. Responsibilities

  1. Monitor Suffolk's project portfolio to detect early lifecycle risksfrom preconstruction through closeout.
  2. Analyze trends across cost, schedule, safety, and quality using internal benchmarks and predictive tools.
  3. Prepare dashboards, deep dives, and escalation reports for executive leadership to drive risk awareness and performance interventions.
  4. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for Superintendents, Project Managers, and field teams.
  5. Support Project Reviews and Process Reviews by providing relevant insights and assessments.
  6. Collaborate with Planning, Risk, Safety, and Data Analytics teams to align tools, metrics, and reporting practices.
  7. Travel to jobsites across the country to participate in on-site reviews and strengthen understanding of project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 24 years of relevant experience in construction operations or data analytics, with demonstrated exposure to project performance metrics or construction technology tools.
  • Strong interest in data analytics, predictive models, and AI-driven tools, and how they apply to real-world construction problems.
  • Ability to simplify complex data and communicate insights to both field teams and executives.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Oracle preferred; Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to jobsites across the U.S. as part of deep dives and project reviews.
