As a Construction Painter, you will prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming as needed. You will apply paints, stains, coatings, and sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Your role involves mixing and matching paint colors and finishes to meet project specifications and inspecting completed work to ensure quality and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment.
  • Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed to reach high areas.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet project deadlines.

Essential skills include:

  • Proficiency in painting, industrial painting, and using spray guns.
  • Experience with epoxy, polyurethane, and various coatings.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.

Additional skills and qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience as a painter or coater in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with various painting techniques and materials.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Certification in lead-safe practices or industrial coatings (preferred but not required).

The work environment involves using painting tools and equipment, operating in varied conditions including heights and confined spaces. Adherence to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work area are essential.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Waseca, Minnesota. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
