We are currently seeking a Construction Project Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, GA . This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is crucial for the financial success of our projects. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable, with a solid background in project accounting, preferably within the AEC industry. Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Project Managers to oversee the financial aspects of projects, including billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.

Aid in project setup and ensure accurate financial data and configurations in the system.

Update and maintain detailed project records, contracts, and budgets.

Track project budgets and expenses, providing regular reports and updates.

Efficiently allocate resources and time across multiple projects.

Conduct financial analysis to support pricing decisions and proposal development.

Lead project cleanup and closure, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring all financial aspects are in order.

Coordinate with Project Coordinators for seamless financial operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the AEC industry.

Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.); advanced Excel skills are a plus.

Experience with Acumatica is preferred; familiarity with tools like Oracle, Deltek, or Textura is advantageous.

Skills & Abilities:

Solid grasp of GAAP and accounting best practices.

Experience in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Effective communication skills to present financial data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to juggle multiple tasks and excel in a dynamic business environment.

Adaptable and eager to embrace new technologies and regulatory changes.
