Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist with a strong focus on scheduling to support a major transportation infrastructure program. This role is critical to ensuring accurate planning, performance tracking, and reporting across complex, multi-phase projects. The successful candidate will lead scheduling efforts using Primavera P6, coordinate baseline and update reviews, and support the development of project controls standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to project controls staff and scheduling support teams.
- Lead the development, review, and maintenance of baseline and updated project schedules.
- Coordinate the implementation and optimization of Oracle Primavera P6 across the program.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc schedule and cost performance reports.
- Conduct schedule variance and risk analysis using critical path methodology.
- Maintain and update engineering resource codes in P6.
- Manage monthly project status updates and ensure accurate resource coding.
- Document project controls execution plans and scheduling procedures.
- Develop scheduling guidelines tailored to transportation infrastructure projects.
- Provide training and support for Primavera P6 users across the program.
- Generate data queries, scripts, and reports to support schedule analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between schedule, cost, and scope.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to present schedule performance and forecasting insights.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in construction management and scheduling.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale transportation infrastructure programs.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience conducting baseline and update schedule reviews.
- Ability to explain two past projects that highlight your expertise with schedule baseline and update reviews.
- Experience preparing performance measurement reports and schedule risk assessments.
- Familiarity with enterprise scheduling systems and data management practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The salary range for this full-time role is $150K-$185 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
