Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support a high-profile transportation infrastructure program. This role focuses on strategic reporting, cost-loaded scheduling, and data integration to help drive performance across complex, multi-phase projects. The ideal candidate brings 57 years of experience in design or construction management, with strong skills in Primavera P6, SAP, and Power BI. You'll be responsible for producing monthly reports, building dashboards, and extracting data from systems like WinTrak to support decision-making and ensure transparency across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost-loaded baseline schedules and proactively update them based on project progress.
- Prepare monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reports covering schedule, cost, contract awards, and construction services.
- Create dashboards and reporting tools to visualize project performance and critical variances.
- Integrate data from multiple systems including SAP, Primavera P6, WinTrak, and Power BI.
- Identify and resolve data integrity issues across platforms.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Recommend and implement improvements to reporting processes and data workflows.
- Support earned value management (EVM) tracking and analysis to monitor project health.
- Assist in risk analysis and scenario planning using schedule and cost data.
- Ensure compliance with agency and client reporting standards and protocols.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to present schedule and cost performance updates.
- Provide technical documentation and training materials to support system use and reporting standards.
- Support the migration and integration of legacy system data into modern platforms.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 57 years of experience in design and/or construction management, preferably within infrastructure or transportation sectors.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Strong understanding of SAP, WinTrak, and Power BI for data extraction and visualization.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining monthly cost-loaded schedules.
- Ability to explain and present two past projects that showcase your experience with cost loading schedules for monthly reporting purposes.
- Experience working on large-scale transportation or infrastructure programs.
- Familiarity with public agency reporting requirements and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with earned value management (EVM) principles is a plus.
The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$175 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
