Summary:

A Santa Clara-based general contractor specializing in healthcare and higher education construction across California and Arizona is seeking a Project Engineer with 3-5 years of experience. Responsibilities: Support project managers and superintendents throughout preconstruction and construction Write and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs Interpret drawings, specs, ASIs, ACDs, NMAs, and ensure as-builts are current Attend and document project meetings (OAC, coordination, etc.) Help with bidding, monthly billing, closeouts, and project scheduling Maintain photo logs, punch lists, and municipal permits Communicate clearly with clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners Provide support in jobsite visits and material tracking Follow filing protocols and document control procedures Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in construction (healthcare or education preferred) Bachelor's in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally Self-motivated, organized, and open to learning Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred: EIT certification Bilingual in Spanish or another language Compensation + Benefits: Competitive salary Medical (employer-paid), dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with max employer match Paid time off and holidays Vehicle allowance and paid cell phone Profit sharing Friday team lunches and regular social events Reimbursement for certifications (PMP, LEED, FE, PE, etc.)
