- Oversee the construction and delivery of both new construction and renovation projects ranging from $1 - $15+ million.
- Manage 3-6 projects concurrently under limited supervision.
- Handle scheduling, purchasing, quality, and safety management.
- Support and work with management, operations, finance, and estimating staff regarding project plans, requirements, and specifications.
- Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners.
- Serve as the point of contact for client project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and more.
- Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners.
- Collaborate on project safety plans with Superintendents.
- Manage MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements.
- Collaborate with estimating teams in the review of construction plans/specifications and break scope of work into subcontractor trade packages.
- Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities.
- Understand project logistics and scheduling.
- Prepare and present closing packages.
- 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of construction industry project management experience is preferred.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid computer skills with MS Office Suite and construction management software.
- Knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management.
- Well organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
- Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines while managing changing tasks and demands.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with the team.
- Possess traits of honesty, integrity, and effort.
