Position Overview

Henges Insulation is seeking a hands-on, driven Production & Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily insulation operations at our branch in Olathe, Kansas. This position blends strategic oversight with field-level involvement to ensure quality execution, team productivity, and superior customer service.

The ideal candidate brings a proactive leadership style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage both people and processes. Candidates with a background in construction project management are strongly preferred, particularly those familiar with coordinating field crews, navigating jobsite demands, and supporting production schedules in dynamic environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Oversight
  • Open and prep the shop daily; review job schedules and materials to ensure team readiness.

  • Plan and coordinate daily production schedules for on-time and accurate job completion.

  • Conduct on-site quality control and safety checks (field QA).

  • Address customer concerns, resolve warranty issues, and handle callbacks efficiently.

  • Audit previous day’s work orders for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

Team Leadership & Personnel Management
  • Interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate installation team members.

  • Assign and direct team workloads to maximize productivity and ensure high-quality results.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead bi-weekly safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Fleet & Facility Management
  • Oversee vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, and fleet reporting.

  • Maintain organized warehouse operations, including inventory staging and flow.

  • Support supply ordering, bin management, and monthly inventory counts.

Business Development & Sales Support
  • Assist with measuring and estimating for new construction, remodel, and retrofit projects.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to support customer acquisition and business growth.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in operations or production management; construction project management background strongly preferred.

  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on, field-based environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Valid driver’s license required (Class B preferred or willingness to obtain).

  • Comfortable with the physical demands of field and warehouse work.
