Construction Project Manager
Provide overall management for a project or assist senior management on projects. Manage a field staff, contract documents, subcontractor performance, vendor compliance, budgets, costs, safety, profitability, and statutory and legal compliance. Maintain constructive relationships and communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, community officials and company staff. This Project Manager will have a primary emphasis on projects within our Light Industrial portfolio (i.e. distribution facilities, tilt-wall buildings, etc.).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct pre-construction reviews including estimate review and contract documents.
Develop purchasing strategies, and schedules.
Ensure subcontractors meet expectations of contract documents.
Direct and supervise the purchase of major equipment.
Establish and coordinate overall project schedule.
Ensure labor, material, subcontractors, and equipment cost control for all projects.
Ensure accurate completion and updating of all required project reports.
Maintain client relationships and assist in development of new business.
Ensure projects are completed per contract documents and schedule.
Assume responsibility for providing a safe work environment, as well as complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelors degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.
Experience
Two to five or more years of related work experience required. Experience managing Light Industrial projects is preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands
Physical demands for this position are moderate. Typically the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending or carrying of items (25-50 pounds) such as plan documents, papers, books, parts, etc. There may be times of physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing or similar activities. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. Requires a good ability to see, hear, and speak.
Work Environment
Standard project site environment that may include machinery, parts and chemicals. May require protective gear.

Proficiency with current version of Windows, PC platform required
Familiarity with current version of Microsoft Office Suite required
Must @type 50 wpm or better
Good oral and written communication skills in English required
Good spelling, grammar, and basic math skills required
Basic accounting skills required
Must be able to file alpha-numerically
Experience working within the building trades (design or construction) preferred; experience working with legal and insurance construction documentation helpful
Must present professional appearance and conduct
Good customer service and interpersonal skills a must
