What you will be doing: Oversee the construction and delivery of both new construction and renovation projects ranging from $1 - $15+ million. Manage 3-6 projects concurrently under limited supervision. Handle scheduling, purchasing, quality, and safety management. Support and work with management, operations, finance, and estimating staff regarding project plans, requirements, and specifications. Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners. Serve as the point of contact for client project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and more. Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners. Collaborate on project safety plans with Superintendents. Manage MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements. Ensure compliance with EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements. Collaborate with estimating teams in the review of construction plans/specifications and break scope of work into subcontractor trade packages. Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks. Demonstrate leadership abilities. Understand project logistics and scheduling. Prepare and present closing packages. Experience you will need: 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred. Minimum 2-5 years of construction industry project management experience is preferred. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Solid computer skills with MS Office Suite and construction management software. Knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management. Well organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines while managing changing tasks and demands. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Willingness to work collaboratively with the team. Possess traits of honesty, integrity, and effort. Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days.
