Project Manager

This position involves reporting to the Project Director or Senior Project Director with matrixed supervision by the Senior Project Manager for specific assignments. The Project Manager will supervise the activities of the Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineers, and Superintendents. The role includes assisting in planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and achieving financial outcomes for assigned construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Project Manager in coordinating all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications.
  • Manage primary interface with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Coordinate project activities including procurement of sub-contracts and purchase orders.
  • Handle construction billings and cash flow projections.
  • Implement robust progress measurement and earned value methods.
  • Analyze and update project schedules.
  • Generate meeting minutes and documentation.
  • Create project monthly reports and change management reports.
  • Verify application for payments.
  • Administer contracts and manage punch-lists.
  • Conduct warranty reviews and prepare as-built documents.
  • Coordinate resources to achieve project goals.
  • Manage client interactions and promote positive relationships.
  • Generate project scopes of work and communicate them to the project team.
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor performance against target schedules.
  • Report and monitor project costs, including values committed, forecasted allowances, and actual expenditures.
  • Manage site safety and establish site safety programs.
  • Adhere to site safety rules and correct nonconformances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related discipline or equivalent technical degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Delivery or related discipline.
  • Superior communication and organizational development skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering, report writing, project management, and project engineering.
  • Knowledge of construction, civil engineering, and construction management.
  • Proficiency in wiring schematics and EIT.
  • Familiarity with OSHA 30, AutoCAD, and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of design and purification processes.

Work Environment

This position requires coverage of Vacaville, CA territory. It involves 25% travel or as required by the assigned project, with possible overnight stays. The role may be assigned to client sites for extended periods and requires adherence to safety rules. Site visits necessitate site safety training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72.11 - $105.76/hr.
