About the Role
As a Project Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact on an assigned project in New Jersey, leading teams, managing budgets, and ensuring that every phase is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. This is a critical leadership role within our operations team, offering the opportunity to work on impactful projects. Success will be based on safety, culture, schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
· Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project schedules and budgets from preconstruction through closeout.
· Ensure all project estimates are prepared accurately and aligned with scope and contract requirements.
· Oversee the execution of site logistics, sequencing, and construction strategies to maintain workflow and efficiency.
Financial Management
· Manage all project financials, including subcontractor and owner billing, monthly cost projections, and exposure logs.
· Supervise timely and accurate invoice processing within each monthly billing cycle.
· Monitor and update project budgets regularly to reflect progress, changes, and forecasts.
· Administer commercial terms of the prime contract and track compliance with payment terms, change orders, and financial reporting.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, design teams, stakeholders, and internal departments.
· Lead all client and design coordination meetings from preconstruction through completion, providing insight into feasibility, constructability, and logistics.
· Maintain strong professional relationships with owners, consultants, municipal agencies, architects, and subcontractors.
Subcontractor & Vendor Management
· Participate in project buy-outs and subcontractor selection in collaboration with preconstruction.
· Review subcontracts and vendor proposals; lead negotiations to align with company standards.
· Oversee procurement schedules and ensure timely mobilization of trades and delivery of materials.
Project Oversight & Team Leadership
· Supervise all aspects of the project including cost control, safety, schedule adherence, and overall performance.
· Lead daily standups and weekly internal/subcontractor coordination meetings.
· Facilitate OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and ensure agenda alignment and accountability across parties.
Document & Compliance Management
· Ensure all permits, compliance documents, safety procedures, and contract deliverables are obtained, current, and adhered to throughout the project.
· Monitor and review all construction documents for alignment with contract, budget, and schedule requirements.
· Track change orders, RFIs, and submittals while evaluating their impact on cost and schedule.
Reporting & Communication
· Prepare and deliver consistent reporting to clients and internal stakeholders, including project status reports, financial updates, and risk assessments.
· Keep executive team informed on key milestones, delays, and potential concerns requiring escalation.
Closeout & Turnover
· Manage final stages of the project, including punch list resolution, client walkthroughs, and delivery of closeout documentation.
· Ensure all contractual obligations are met for turnover and project completion.
Multi-Project Management
· Effectively manage the above responsibilities across multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and consistency in execution.
Qualifications
5+ years in the construction industry, with a strong preference for candidates who have hands-on field experience and a solid understanding of superintendent responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is .
Skilled in project management and scheduling platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Textura. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong grasp of construction workflows, budgeting, scheduling, and project execution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams, negotiate, and clearly explain complex processes to stakeholders.
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities quickly
Must be located in commutable distance to New Jersey, United States or willing to Commute between NYC Office and NJ Job site
