About the Company Overview: An established and growing General Contractor based in Gurnee, IL is seeking a Project Manager to lead ground-up and large-scale renovation projects across commercial sectors. This person will play a critical role in managing multiple concurrent projects from pre-construction through closeout , with an emphasis on quality, safety, and schedule adherence. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of the construction lifecycle, including estimating support , budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management. Lead project teams including Superintendents, APMs, and subcontractors , ensuring strong collaboration and accountability. Maintain direct communication with owners, architects, engineers, and internal leadership throughout project execution. Manage documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and monthly cost reporting. Conduct regular site visits, enforce safety protocols, and resolve field issues proactively. Manage multiple active projects with varying timelines and scopes, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion. Requirements: 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor , ideally in commercial ground-up or major renovations. Strong background in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.). Solid understanding of construction means and methods, cost controls, and scheduling techniques. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Must be commutable to Gurnee, IL and able to visit job sites across the region. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hospitality, senior living, healthcare, retail, or public works projects. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. OSHA 30 or similar safety training.
