Salary Range: $120,000 to $175,000, Commensurate with Experience
A long-established and well-respected construction management firm based in the greater Boston area is seeking a Project Manager to join its growing team. This organization, with a legacy spanning more than 140 years, serves private commercial, industrial, and institutional clients across the New England region. Role Overview
The Project Manager will take full ownership of assigned construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that impact the local landscape. The position is onsite and not remote, offering hands-on leadership from the company's headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate all project activities, resources, and stakeholders to meet project goals
Review project plans and evaluate time frames, budget constraints, and resource allocation
Lead procurement efforts including negotiating and purchasing all required materials and services
Manage subcontracts and purchase orders and ensure documentation is completed on time
Handle change requests and change orders with owners and internal teams
Define project scope with subcontractors and assign duties accordingly
Direct project personnel and subcontractors to maintain project timelines and budgets
Prepare and present detailed project reports to management and clients
Provide technical support and resolve issues across all phases of the project
Coordinate with regulatory and government agencies as needed
Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Qualifications & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on work
Strong ability to lead, organize, and communicate within complex project environments
Skilled in financial and legal document interpretation
Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities
Proficient in solving problems with limited standardization and using sound judgment
Ability to work in physically demanding construction environments (e.g., climbing, kneeling, lifting 25+ lbs)
