This position is for a Landscape Construction Project Manager, working out of our Plymouth, MA location. The Landscape Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering high-quality landscape construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves overseeing project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Serving as the primary liaison between clients, crews, and vendors, the Project Manager ensures clear communication and efficient resource management. The position demands strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of hardscaping and construction practices to achieve client satisfaction and project success. Landscape construction experience required in landscape industry.

Objectives:
- Ensure all landscape construction projects, with a focus on hardscape projects, are completed within the established timelines.
- Oversee project expenses to ensure they align with approved budgets while maximizing profitability.
- Guarantee that all construction work meets design specifications and the company's high-quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Efficiently allocate labor, materials, and equipment to achieve project objectives while minimizing waste.
- Supervise and guide construction crews to maintain high levels of performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Identify and resolve issues during construction promptly to prevent delays or additional costs.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors and subcontractors while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Keep detailed records of project plans, schedules, change orders, and expenditures for reference and reporting.
- Analyze completed projects to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements for future projects.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and managing landscape construction projects, and hardscape projects from start to finish.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage construction crews and subcontractors effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
- In-depth understanding of hardscaping, grading, drainage, and other landscape construction techniques.
- Skill in identifying challenges during construction and implementing timely, cost-effective solutions.
- Capability to monitor project expenses, ensure adherence to budgets, and maximize profitability.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards in work quality and ensuring projects meet design specifications.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to enforce compliance on job sites to minimize incidents.
- Expertise in efficiently managing labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity.
- Ability to foster positive client relationships through regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
Education and Experience:
- Proven experience in landscape construction project management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardscaping, grading, drainage, and other landscape construction practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Google Workspace).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and move around construction sites for extended periods, including uneven terrain.
- Capability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Comfort with activities such as climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, or crouching during site inspections.
- Strong visual focus for reading blueprints, assessing construction details, and ensuring quality standards.
- Ability to handle tools and equipment for occasional hands-on tasks or inspections.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Capacity to hear and communicate effectively in noisy construction environments.
- Physical stamina to work long hours, especially during peak project phases.
- Ability to respond quickly and physically to site emergencies or urgent tasks.
