Quality Assurance Manager

Quality Oversight & Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on plant products, construction methods, blueprints, and NVRs quality standards and documentation. Provide technical guidance to plant teams and Homebuilding operations to ensure alignment with company expectations.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop, maintain, and analyze quality and service level reports. Identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. Contribute to the Brand Promise scorecard and participate in cross-plant quality meetings.

Quality Program Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance systems and procedures. Ensure quality standards are consistently applied and updated across all plant departments.

Auditing & Issue Resolution: Conduct regular internal and field audits to assess compliance and identify gaps. Investigate quality concerns, document findings, and communicate actionable recommendations. Collaborate with Homebuilding and ASD to resolve issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, ASD, Field Coordinators, and other quality personnel to support rollouts of new materials, prototypes, audits, and design changes. Manage Product Action Requests (PARs) and troubleshoot product-related issues in the field.

Training & Certification: Ensure compliance with Plant Installed Window certification requirements. Provide training to plant staff, new hires, and support new plant start-ups. Mentor and support Manufacturing Quality Coordinators and other quality team members.

Project Management: Lead or support special projects as assigned by leadership. Integrate monthly or quarterly quality topics into weekly audit routines to reinforce continuous improvement.

Skills and Requirements: Qualifications include experience in construction quality control, construction administration, or a related field. Minimum 2+ years of experience required. Scheduling software experience, construction/homebuilding background, and a Bachelors degree are preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to work adjusted hours and travel regularly to job sites and other plant locations. Experience with trusses, OSHA certification, Lean Construction background, and ability to read blueprints and schematics are strongly preferred.
