Job Description
The Construction Quality Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring construction projects adhere to plans, specifications, and regulations. This position involves conducting inspections, assessing materials, and documenting findings, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills. The inspector maintains quality, safety, and compliance throughout the construction process. Responsibilities
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, and relevant codes. Evaluate the quality and suitability of construction materials, including concrete, steel, and other components. Verify compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards. Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photographs, reports, and test results. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing inspection findings, including any deviations or non-conformances. Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and necessary corrective actions. Identify potential issues and collaborate with project teams to develop effective solutions. Conduct or oversee field and laboratory tests on materials to assess their quality and performance. Essential Skills
Understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant codes and standards. Meticulous approach to inspections and documentation. Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to various stakeholders. Proficiency in using tools for measurement and inspection, such as calipers, micrometers, and testing equipment. Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to multi-task. Attention to detail. Mechanical experience. Prefer a degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or sufficient experience. 8-10 years of experience in construction or quality control. Data Center experience is highly valued. Work Environment
BOYDTON, VA Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.00 - $74.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
