Our client, the Global Leader in Technology is seeking a Senior Construction Health and Safety Manager to serve as its on-site safety representative for cutting-edge hyperscale data center construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced safety professional to partner with General Contractor teams and drive a culture of safety excellence aligned with world-class standards.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in health and safety within construction, preferably with experience on data center builds, and excels at influencing without authority, fostering collaboration, and coaching teams to achieve high performance.

What’s the Job?
Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards
Verify that GCs adhere to Global Construction Safety Requirements (GCRs) and Safety Performance Standards (SPS), including proper documentation, permit-to-work systems, and implementation of wellness programs.
Conduct On-Site Observations and Reporting
Perform regular site safety walks, assess work practices, and generate detailed reports that include trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
Participate in Project Planning
Contribute to Level 1, 2, and 3 planning sessions (Project, Task, Field) and three-week lookahead planning meetings, ensuring safety is fully integrated from planning to execution.
Coach and Guide GC Leadership
Facilitate training, workshops, and coaching sessions to help GC teams understand and apply safety culture, policies, and risk management expectations.
Partner with GCs to Drive Safety Performance
Act as a trusted advisor; communicating clearly, offering constructive feedback, and collaborating closely with GCs to support their safety readiness and continuous improvement.
Influence Without Direct Authority
Empower GCs through knowledge sharing, coaching, and by cultivating ownership of safety outcomes; encouraging innovation while respecting operational independence.
Engage Cross-Functional Stakeholders
Collaborate regularly with Construction, Safety, Environmental, Project Coordination, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure unified and consistent execution.
Promote Industry Best Practices
Continuously research, apply, and advocate for emerging safety technologies and methodologies to maintain leadership in construction safety.
Foster a Growth Mindset
Encourage adaptability, openness to feedback, and proactive learning both within the teams and among GC partners.
What’s Needed?
8+ years of experience in construction health and safety, with at least 10 years preferred.
Strong experience in large-scale or hyperscale data center construction environments.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
Degree in occupational health, construction safety, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
Professional certifications such as CHST (Certified Health and Safety Technician), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or equivalent.
