Construction Safety Manager for El Paso, TX
AAA General Contractors, LLC was established in 2009 with offices in El Paso TX and Sunland Park, NM. We are full-service general contractor, providing both pre-construction and construction services to government and private clients in the following sectors. AAA General Contractors, LLC is growing and currently seeking outstanding performers to join our team.
Responsibilities
The key functions of the Construction Safety Manager are to support specific project needs at multiple job sites ensuring that best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and an improved safety culture and performance is delivered.
· Oversee all aspects of *multiple* large scale construction job sites ensuring OSHA compliance
· Worker safety training verifications
· Spot-checking contractor safety data, hours worked, and safety statistics
· Ensure applicable laws, regulations, and EHS requirements are communicated to project team members and contractors
· Identify conditions that have the potential to create harm to the environment and community
· Provide technical consulting for safety-related issues
· Evaluating written COVID-19 Control Programs, and the effectiveness of the site implementation of those program elements
· Coordinate incident investigations, documentation, reporting, and follow-up
· Conduct comprehensive on-site safety assessments and verifying effective corrective actions are being completed
· Monitoring contractor field activity to ensure compliance with OSHA and General Contractor's safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
· Evaluate high-hazard work permit processes and periodically monitoring implementation of hot work, excavation, confined space, etc.
Qualifications
· *Minimum 10 years of direct construction safety experience*
· Construction Safety Management experience is required
· Degree in a safety related field is preferred
· OSHA 510/500
· CHST or CSP
· First Aid/CPR
· Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
· Must be able to travel to assigned jobs site daily with the possibility of some overnight stays
· Excellent verbal and written communication, able to communicate and mentor at all levels
· Superb time management skills, able to switch gears and prioritize schedule based on project needs
· Computer skills are a must, Microsoft Office, safety audit programs, data bases, and other job specific computer programs.
Experience preferred in the following areas:
· Construction
· Contractor Safety Oversight
· Regional Safety Management Experience
