Job Description
The Construction Health and Safety Manager will serve as a field-level representative for health and safety on state-of-the-art hyperscale data center projects, providing essential oversight and support to General Contractor teams. This role is designed for a skilled safety professional who can deliver high-level advisory support while fostering a culture of safety excellence. You will play a crucial role in establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships across various stakeholders, ensuring that safety practices are not only implemented but also continuously improved through the adoption of industry best practices. Your ability to influence, coach, and share these best practices will be paramount in driving success without direct oversight of GC operations.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with global construction safety policies and high-risk activity management plans, including Safety Performance Standards documentation.
Conduct regular on-site safety observations to assess compliance with safety protocols and identify areas for improvement.
Engage in Level 1, 2, and 3 project task and field-level planning meetings, as well as three-week lookahead planning sessions and daily activity briefings.
Guide GC leadership in safety practices by facilitating training sessions and workshops.
Influence and coach GC teams to empower them while allowing autonomy in managing operations.
Engage with multiple stakeholders, including internal and external teams, to ensure effective collaboration.
Drive continuous improvement of safety standards by researching and implementing industry best practices.
Promote a growth mindset within the team, encouraging continuous learning, adaptability, and resilience.
Essential Skills
8+ years of experience in safety management, with a focus on construction or project environments.
Proficiency with data center construction safety protocols.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of engaging effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certifications preferred.
Degree or safety certifications required.
Experience with hyperscale data center projects.
Work Environment
The work location is Wenatchee, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $96.00 - $106.00/hr.
