Construction Safety Manager

We are currently seeking an entry-level Construction Safety Manager to join our growing team. This essential role reports directly to the VP of Safety and requires daily travel to job sites across the tri-state area, with the workday beginning on-site at 7am.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and oversight of the Corporate Safety Program.
• Assist in developing site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor construction project activities.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and company safety standards at construction sites in the tri-state area as well as the fabrication facility.
• Investigate unsafe conditions and injury claims through procedure, equipment, inspections, and worker observations.
• Recommend and assist with the implementation of corrective actions and performance tracking metrics.
• Create and execute pre-task safety plans.
• Participate in safety program audits, coaching, and training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study or relevant work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction and general industry safety, current federal and OSHA requirements.
• PC/System knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• The selected candidate will travel to job sites in the tri-state area to implement best practices.
