Essential Job Duties
Conduct daily environmental, health and safety audits Inspect and examine all health and safety related complaints, workplace accidents, spills Search for hazards on the job site Investigate the construction site to ascertain equipment, production, and material processes do not pose a safety or health hazard to employees, visitors, and other contractors Create, evaluate, and implement health and safety programs and strategies Work closely with engineering and EHS departments Train contractors on issues of workplace safety and environmental protection Create different frameworks that will reduce accidents and improve workplace safety Verify the adequacy and safety of all work proposed tools and equipment Review and approve all subcontractors' safety plans Train and run drills and exercise with workers on how to manage an emergency situation May also include occasional nights and weekends depending on the status of the project but it's primarily days, M-F
Quals-- Minimum of two years' experience in construction safety Ability to communicate excellently in both oral and written format Profound knowledge of industry standards and regulations (OSHA) Good organizational and record-keeping abilities Ability to climb heights using ladders or scaffolding Good team player, self-confident, motivated, and independent individual OSHA 10 and 30-hour certification preferred College degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred
