Our client, an electric vehicle manufacturer, is actively looking for a Construction Safety Specialist to join their team in Normal, IL! This role is fully onsite so local candidates are required. This role has 2 shift options: Sunday-Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday from 6AM-4:30PM or 7AM-5:30PM.

Responsibilities Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and general public Duties as required by 1926 OSHA Standards for Construction Develop safety kick-off presentations and conduct on-site orientations and pre-shift meetings Conduct daily site safety inspections, safety assessments and safety audits Investigate incidents and complete associated paperwork Conduct risk assessments Make recommendations concerning the modification, improvement, or removal of any company equipment, facilities, or machinery that is hazardous to employee safety or health Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested Serve as company liaison with overseeing municipalities, OSHA, Insurance carriers and other regulatory agencies Maintain all safety related documentation Required Skills & Experience Degree preferred but not required, HS diploma required 3+ years of experience working in an Environmental Health & Safety function, ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment Experience conducting site safety inspections and performing safety assessments Strong communication & presentation skills
