Construction Safety Technician

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, practices, or equipment.

Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans.

Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain safety records, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident documentation.

Provide safety orientation and ongoing training to workers and subcontractors.

Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.

Support emergency response planning and drills.

Collaborate with site supervisors and project managers to promote a safe work environment. Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in occupational safety, construction management, or a related field preferred.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification preferred.

First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

1-3 years of experience in construction safety or a related role.

Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety regulations, and construction site operations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.

Must have at least 2 years of construction experience.
