Construction Senior Construction/ Project Manager

Gordon Management Gordon Management is a local family-owned development company seeking a Commercial Construction Manager. Projects include multi-family residential, retail facilities, office spaces, fit-ups, storage facilities, hotel renovations, demo/rehabs, among others.
The Construction Manager will oversee the construction process from concept to closeout, maintaining close communication with the team to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate and coordinate with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Staff, Municipalities, and other related individuals.
Oversee total on-site construction efforts to ensure projects are constructed according to design, budget, and schedule.
Maintain project records.
Assist in buyout, develop, monitor, update, and publish submittal schedules, project schedules, material status reports, milestones, and close-out requirements.
Generate and approve contracts, scope, change orders, purchase orders, and payment applications.
Maintain vendor relationships, including supporting documents such as insurance.
Coordinate and participate in on-site project and progress meetings, and perform job site inspections.
Participate in resolving construction issues.
Review documents for code compliance and constructability.
Perform close-out tasks, participate in final inspections, and issue certificates of occupancy/compliance.
Assist during the design phase as required.
Maintain safety procedures.
Travel to job sites as needed.
Perform other duties as directed.
Skills:
Effective communication and written skills.
Understanding of construction practices, management practices, and procedures.
Ability to interpret contract documents, read plans, and layout.
Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and project management applications.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Location: Albany, NY, Construction Sites
Work Location: In person at office and construction sites
Job Type: Full Time
Salary Range: Based on experience
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
7:00 am – 4:00 pm - Flexible
Weekends as needed
