Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Site Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to work as a construction site inspector, on a full-time basis, to oversee both FAA or Parsons construction subcontractors as they support our efforts to assist the FAA in upgrading the National Airspace System (NAS). This position is for primary support of Parsons' Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) with the FAA for their Southern Region, based out of Atlanta, GA.
T5 Program Summary: The FAA awarded the T5 contract to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Performs inspections/surveillances based on training received.
- Interacts cross-functionally with project team members and management.
- Implements inspection, examination, and testing procedures and records inspection, examination, and testing data.
- Plans inspections, evaluations, and tests; setting up tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment.
- Evaluates the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results and reports inspection, examination and testing results.
- Evaluates the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel.
- Performs and documents inspections of subcontractor work.
- Oversees subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor work. Reviews and audits subcontractor generated quality records.
- Performs First-Article / In-Process Inspection as needed (may include source inspection).
- Ensures compliance to HSE requirements applicable for their work scope.
- May participate in establishing and implementing a Quality Controls Inspectors certification program.
- May participate in qualifying and certifying QC Inspectors at all levels.
- Documents and communicates inspection results in a clear and concise manner.
- Understands contract requirements and subcontractor(s) contract requirements.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- 2+ plus years of experience in the construction industry or 5 plus years of equivalent work experience overseeing various business operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality or related field.
- Construction, safety, and quality training/certifications a plus.
- Comfortable to oversee activities for adherence to quality standards and processes in one or more of the following areas (or subjects): Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required.
- Valid driver license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.

Salary Range: $29.95 - $52.40
