Job Title Works with the Project Manager, the Project Engineer, and the Production team to plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget. Oversees Airgas's construction site and general contractors to ensure a high level of quality and safety. Develop, issue, and maintain daily Airgas Hazardous Work Permits (HWP's). Hold a Daily Safety Briefing, Coordinate site activities with Prime Contractor's Site Superintendent. Review contractor daily Job Safety Analysis's (JHA's). Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices. Ensure quality workmanship and QA/QC inspections are conducted. Coordinate and oversee safe execution of non-destructive evaluations (NDE), pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure testing, dye penetrant testing, and radiography. Retain and maintain a file of test and inspection reports. Identify, mitigate, and track construction issues. Clearly communicate issues and proposed solutions to the Project Manager. Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements. Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable, tools and equipment are in good working condition, and proper housekeeping is performed before the completion of each shift. Maintain and update SoW and construction documents, and meet contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors. Acquire equipment and material inventory and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met. Work closely with Production team for planning of upcoming impactive site work and verify completion of lockout/tagout (LO/TO) and any energy control procedures. Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions. Conduct Pre-Start up inspections and maintain Pre-Start-up Checklists. Reports the status of projects to Management. Desired Skills and Qualifications Proactive about ensuring a safe working environment. Working knowledge of Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction, including utilities. Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts. Knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods. 5+ years of industrial field construction experience preferred. Industrial Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, or related experience is preferred. Ability to manage with an eye for quality. Good oral and written communication skills. Education, Experience, Requirements Knowledge of Construction Safety Practices and OSHA regulations (10 Hour or 30 Hour OSHA Training is a plus). Experience with cryogenics, including liquid CO2 production and storage, a plus. Is this a Safety Sensitive Position (if you do not know, please ask your upper management) Yes. PPE Requirements if any Hard Hat, Safety Toed Boots, Safety Glasses, FRC, hearing protection, 4-Gas monitor. Working Conditions (IE Office, Warehouse, Etc) Plant Office / Outdoors. If heights, how high? Potential to need to use a 6ft ladder or climb to rooftop (30ft) using extension ladder or installed ladder with cage. If driving, what will they be driving? Driving own vehicle. If lifting how many pounds? ?50 lbs.
