Abscope Environmental, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is seeking qualified Project Site Superintendents to run environmental remediation and/or civil works projects located throughout the Northeast US. Our environmental projects are varied and often include deep excavations that require sheet pile shoring, mass earth moving and specialty remediation work on a smaller scale.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Project Superintendent
Understanding of how to run a pro-active, behavior-based safety program
Experience reading Plans and Specifications
Thorough understanding of payment quantities and measurements
Proficient in the use and understanding of automated GPS survey and grade control.
Proficient computer skills to be able to effectively communicate with the project team using Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Must possess a high degree of integrity and leadership skills
Must be able to effectively deal with project engineer and regulatory agencies
Must be willing to travel
Must pass company pre-employment medical exam and drug test
Must pass pre-employment background check
Job Duties:
Ensure the health and safety of the project crew
Determine proper equipment requirements
Ensure crews are productive and are incompliance with safety policy
Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to determine project schedule and milestones
Work in conjunction with the Owners Representative and Project Manager to determine pay quantities
Understand the scope of the work and identify potential change orders
Report daily time and progress to the Project Manager
Submit weekly Equipment Utilization reports to the Project Manager
