Construction Project Manager

Our client is a reputable and well known GC, headquartered out of Georgia, that builds a wide range of commercial work. 55 person headcount in their Savannah office. Current leadership has 2 strong SPM's and one PX. 100% employee owned company. Strong financial stability with some of the nations best rated sureties.

Job Description

Overall project administration, leadership, and technical direction of ground up projects. Manage bid requests, review bids, develop subcontracts. Direct lead for estimating and take offs. Handle all project buyout within designated time frame. Review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors. Direction of all RFI's requested. Direction of all Submittal's requested. Develop and maintain site logistics plan. Manage special Inspection Schedules. Work directly with Architects, Engineers and Municipalities to ensure plans are designed per owner specifications and value engineered. Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates. Review Daily Reports and Safety Inspections from onsite Superintendents. Organize, attend, participate, and lead project meetings, including subcontractor meetings involving pre-construction, scope of work, scheduling, safety, etc. Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.). Managing and multitasking multiple projects at a time. Ability to read and understand blue prints, CAD files as well as Municipality code and requirements.

The Successful Applicant

Someone who is confident in their ability and has experience leading people beneath them. Having relationships with subcontractors/trades people is HUGE. Looking for good tenure. MUST have ground up experience - need someone to help them do site work since the soil is very different up north. Prefer someone based between Savannah and Macon but will look at someone open to relocating to Savannah but they have to have experience in similar conditions/climate (wet soil, warmer weather, humidity, etc). Must have technical competency, be personable, and flexible/adaptable.
