A leading commercial general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee a high-profile ground-up project currently underway in Austin, TX . This is a key leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle of the project—from preconstruction through final closeout. Following successful completion of this project, the Senior Project Manager will be expected to support additional projects in other markets, with full travel benefits provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all project phases, including preconstruction, execution, and final turnover
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and the client
Manage schedule execution, budget control, safety, and quality
Review and manage all shop drawings, submittals, and procurement tracking
Coordinate permitting, inspections, and communication with government authorities
Provide monthly cost reports, forecasts, and client billings
Lead safety culture onsite and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards
Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to contract scope, quality, and schedule
Conduct jobsite inspections and maintain consistent project documentation
Support project labor planning, equipment needs, and logistics
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management
Proven experience managing large-scale projects of $100M+
Strong understanding of contract terms, insurance programs (SDI, OCIP/CCIP), and cost control methodologies
Effective leadership and team-building skills across field and office teams
Proficient in project management tools including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing owner relationships
In-depth knowledge of safety planning and regulatory compliance
Experience implementing quality control and VDC coordination processes
