This role is critical in overseeing day-to-day operations on job sites, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring our projects reflect the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and craftsmanshipwhile reinforcing our position as a trusted leader in construction services. Position Overview: The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the on-site supervision of all construction activities, ensuring the project progresses according to schedule, budget, and design specifications. This includes overseeing subcontractors and field personnel, enforcing safety and quality standards, and serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations on the job site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of construction methods and sequencing, and the ability to proactively resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design, schedule, budget, and safety requirements. Coordinate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, and field labor to maintain project flow and productivity. Monitor and enforce safety procedures, including regular site inspections and coordination with safety personnel. Manage site logistics, including equipment, deliveries, and material staging. Review project documents and plans to identify potential conflicts or challenges before they impact progress. Maintain the construction schedule in coordination with the Project Manager, ensuring critical milestones are met. Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding site progress, issues, and needs. Conduct daily and weekly site meetings with subcontractors and fields staff; document activities and outcomes. Prepare and maintain daily field reports, logs, photo documentation, and as-built drawings. Support the implementation of project changes in coordination with the project management team. Assist in identifying and resolving field issues, including unforeseen conditions, RFIs, and design conflicts. Ensure that workmanship meets or exceeds company and industry standards. Uphold TRAC Builders values of quality, safety, teamwork, and professionalism in all site operations. Represent the company in a professional manner during inspections, client visits, and industry events. Education and Experience: Minimum of five years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role. Strong understanding of construction safety requirements, building systems, sequencing, and best practices. Proven ability to manage schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain a safe, efficient jobsite. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to direct and motivate field personnel. Proficiency with field technology (e.g., tablets, project management software, plan viewers). OSHA 30 certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred. Bachelors degree in construction management or related field preferred but not required.
