Schedule Management & Coordination:

  • Conduct field inspections and QA/QC checks to verify correct installation, system integrity, labeling, and proper support.
  • Ensure systems pass required inspections and pressure tests prior to concealment or turnover.
  • Support documentation for commissioning, testing, and system signoff (e.g., hydrostatic testing, fire alarm tie-ins).

Safety Leadership:

  • Promote a strong jobsite safety culture in coordination with EHS staff.
  • Enforce safety protocols related to hot work, confined space entry, fall protection, and system flushing/testing.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure subcontractor compliance with all project safety procedures.

Documentation & Communication:

  • Maintain daily reports on crew activities, progress, inspections, and safety issues.
  • Collaborate with the field engineering and document control teams to manage RFIs, field changes, and as-built drawings.
  • Participate in coordination and OAC meetings, communicating clearly with project managers and trade partners.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of field experience in plumbing and/or fire protection construction, with 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drain) and fire suppression systems (sprinkler, standpipe, fire pumps).
  • Experience on large commercial or mission-critical projects such as data centers, hospitals, labs or large industrial.
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing/fire drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and isometric diagrams.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards including IPC, UPC, NFPA 13, 14, 20, and local building regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent site safety training.
  • Proficiency with field management platforms (e.g., Bluebeam, BIM 360).
  • Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection principles.

Personal Attributes:

  • Field-driven, hands-on leader with a sharp eye for detail and code compliance.
  • Excellent communicator capable of building strong relationships with trade partners and project staff.
