Construction Superintendent

Client is a commercial builder/developer located in Syracuse, NY. They specialize in ground-up and remodel construction projects - mostly public, dorms, housing and commercial. All of the Building and Construction projects are in and around the central NY market.

Job Description

Construction Superintendent:

• Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Lead and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site construction staff, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor work progress and quality, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and training to promote a culture of safety on the job site.
• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, including scheduling conflicts, resource allocation, and unforeseen challenges.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.

The Successful Applicant

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Should be local to NY State.
