Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead a project in Waukee, Iowa. The project involves converting a portion of the Independence Village of Waukee into a memory care wing. The Construction Superintendent will serve as the onsite leader, managing the work and ensuring the successful completion of the project within approximately 10 months. Responsibilities include overseeing subcontractor scheduling, controlling timelines, and implementing safety initiatives. The project is a stick-framed renovation. Responsibilities
Manage the onsite activities of the construction project. Schedule and coordinate subcontractors efficiently. Ensure adherence to project timelines and control schedules. Implement and enforce safety initiatives on-site. Oversee quality control and inspection processes. Conduct project management and supervision duties. Handle change orders and site documentation. Essential Skills
Proven ability to manage commercial construction projects as an onsite superintendent. Experience as a General Contractor Superintendent. Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety. Skills in project scheduling and management. Expertise in subcontractor management and site construction. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Construction management experience. Commercial construction knowledge. Understanding of tenant improvement processes. Familiarity with renovation and inspection protocols. Work Environment
The position requires onsite management in Waukee, Iowa, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Construction Superintendent will report to the project manager located in Michigan. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $50.48/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
