Construction Superintendent Position Summary: The Construction Superintendent is an experienced construction leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in driving quality projects to successful completion. You will work with a respected general contractor known for delivering high-quality spaces and building strong client relationships. You'll be an essential part of the team-responsible for managing daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld every step of the way.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
Lead the on-site supervision of commercial interior construction projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
Develop and maintain project schedules, providing regular updates on progress, milestones, and potential delays
Oversee and coordinate subcontractor work, ensuring alignment with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
Conduct regular project status reviews with the Project Manager and client representatives
Manage manpower, materials, and equipment requirements effectively to support site productivity
Enforce job site safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety protocols
Maintain LEED documentation and requirements as applicable
Prepare accurate daily and weekly reports documenting project updates, challenges, and forecasted needs
Serve as a hands-on leader, setting the tone for professionalism, quality, and accountability on site Construction Superintendent Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman on commercial interior fit-out or renovation projects
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels
Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction schedules
Knowledge of LEED practices and documentation preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site logistics effectively
Strong commitment to job site safety, quality control, and client satisfaction
OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work onsite in Wallingford Connecticut.
