Construction Superintendent

My client is a GC/Developer located in Downtown Chicago who has been in business for over 45 years. Their construction arm performs roughly $30M in annual revenue, completing projects across various sectors including commercial, tenant interiors, retail, adaptive reuse and more. The majority of their projects are within the downtown Chicago area, but do branch out and perform projects in the suburbs. They are currently looking for an experienced Superintendent to join the team and act as their Operations Managers' right hand man.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
Responsibilities Oversee daily on-site operations and ensure projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and timelines. Coordinate all construction activities and manage subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in coordination with the project manager. Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and changes to plans. Ensure all documentation, including change orders and punch lists, is complete and organized. Serve as the primary point of contact on-site for project managers, engineers, architects, inspectors, and clients. Provide daily reports and updates on project progress, issues, and risks.
Qualifications 5+ years experience as a Construction Superintendent Ability to utilize Procore and/or related project management software Experience with Microsoft Project for scheduling OSHA30 Ability to work/commute downtown Chicago for projects
Job Offer $125,000 - $155,000 base salary Annual bonus opportunity $500 monthly vehicle allowance Health, dental, vision insurance Strong project backlog
