We are seeking an experienced and driven Superintendent to join our team, overseeing the construction of large-scale institutiona l projects across Long Island and New York City . This role will involve managing high-profile developments including schools, hospitals , and other public facilities, with individual project sizes exceeding 100,000 square feet.
As Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities from start to finish. You will ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a proven track record delivering complex institutional builds and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day on-site operations for projects over 100,000 sq. ft.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to meet deadlines
Enforce site safety procedures and ensure regulatory compliance
Maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and drive progress
Conduct regular inspections to uphold quality standards
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on institutional projects
Demonstrated experience managing ground-up school, hospital, or similar public sector builds
Strong knowledge of New York City and Long Island building codes and OSHA safety regulations
Proven ability to lead large teams on complex job sites
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Proficiency in construction management tools and software
