Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a CST joining our team to provide security support to the Department of the Air Force.

The CST's primary function is to provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. Performance shall include:

  • Assessing, identifying and communicating recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
  • Identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
  • Drafting security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
  • Managing uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigning, training, briefing site security duties and ensuring timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
  • Following and enforcing customers' Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Performing miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative
  • Conducting inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
  • Photographing and continuously monitoring the construction of secure spaces and documenting all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.

Experience:

  • 12 years related experience
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.

Desired Experience:

  • Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience. Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience.

Security Clearance:

  • Secret Required
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI with a CI polygraph
