Construction Surveillance Technician

The Construction Surveillance Technician's primary function is to provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. Performance shall include:

  • Assess, identify and communicate recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
  • Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
  • Draft security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
  • Manage uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
  • Follow and enforce customers' Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
  • Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
  • Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps to support final accreditation packets.

Experience: 1 2 years related experience Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience. Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience. Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.

Desired Experience: Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years)

Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
