The CTE Construction Instructor will provide comprehensive leadership and instruction for the school's Construction Program, ensuring its alignment with industry standards and student career goals. This role will involve planning, implementing, and evaluating the program's curriculum, fostering partnerships, and supporting student success. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Development and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging instruction that aligns with the course curriculum, DEW pathway learning outcomes, and industry standards. Industry Partnerships: Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, schools, and colleges to create a seamless pathway for students. Student Support: Serve as a career counselor, providing guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey. Marketing and Enrollment: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the program internally and externally, ensuring a sustainable student enrollment of at least 20 participants per year. Program Evaluation: Continuously evaluate the program's effectiveness, making necessary revisions to ensure alignment with student needs and industry trends. Student Assessment and Credentialing: Track student progress, administer CTE assessments and credentialing exams, and facilitate student participation in the Career Tech Student Organization (CTSO). Resource Management: Maintain an inventory of program resources, equipment, and supplies. Professional Development: Actively participate in professional development conferences and meetings at local, state, and national levels. Collaboration: Work closely with building principals to ensure the overall success of the school's programs. General Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a positive and supportive school culture. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, including hands-on experience in various trades. Certifications: Valid CTE credential in Carpentry/Construction, NCCER certifications preferred. Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for teaching and student success.
