Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager with Construction Quality Management (CQM) and Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) certifications. The successful candidate will oversee quality control and site safety for various construction sites from Lafayette to Lake Charles, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This role is critical in maintaining project integrity and ensuring the health and safety of all site personnel. The position is based in Lafayette or Lake Charles, Louisiana, and will involve working on various construction projects in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.
    • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
    • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and oversee quality control and assurance procedures.
    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds contractual requirements and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
    • Resolve any quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  3. Safety Management:
    • Serve as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for the project.
    • Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and programs.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for site personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
    • Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  4. Communication and Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders.
    • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and safety records.
    • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
    • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
