The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We support large-scale capital programs with a commitment to quality, integrity, and technical excellence.

We are seeking a seasoned and highly experienced Cost Estimator to support project and construction management teams on facilities and school building construction projects. This position is capped at 30 hours per week and is ideal for a senior-level estimator who can work independently and deliver accurate, reliable cost assessments with minimal oversight.

*Reference: Full-Time Salary Range: $160K/Year-$200K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare preliminary, Fair Cost Estimates (FCE), and detailed final cost estimates to support Project/Construction Managers.
  • Develop and analyze change order estimates and cost impacts.
  • Support price negotiations and prepare claim analyses as needed.
  • Estimate construction costs based on drawings, specifications, sketches, and technical documents.
  • Review contractor claims, pricing, and proposals for accuracy and merit.
  • Develop scope of work and detailed cost breakdowns based on RFI/RFC responses.
  • Assist in validating cost impacts for change orders and developing FCEs.
  • Perform related estimating duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8–15 years of full-time professional experience in construction cost estimating, preferably for facilities or K-12/community college projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor, equipment, and material costs.
  • Experience developing and estimating change order scopes of work.
  • Ability to interpret RFI/RFC responses and create detailed cost breakdowns accordingly.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
