Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor We are seeking a Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team onsite. This is a high-impact role for an experienced construction professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys owning the numbers from concept through completion.
What You'll Do as the Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for commercial and residential construction projects
Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to ensure accurate scope coverage
Develop and maintain project budgets throughout the lifecycle of each job
Work closely with leadership to evaluate pricing, subcontractor bids, and cost projections
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
Build and manage Excel-based estimating models and tracking tools
Support project planning with clear financial forecasting and reporting
Must-Haves as the Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor:
5+ years of professional experience in construction estimating and quantity surveying
Strong mathematical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and financial modeling
Deep familiarity with reading and interpreting architectural and construction drawings
Nice-to-Haves as the Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor:
Background in architecture or formal architectural training
Degree or coursework in Construction Management or related field
Hands-on field construction experience
Experience working in small or family-owned construction firms
