How You'll Contribute
As a Data Center Construction Project Manager, you will help us reach our strategic growth goals by providing overall project direction and ensuring client satisfaction.
Essential Duties
- As a Data Center Construction Project Manager you are responsible for one or more data center construction projects and the successful management of the project team.
- Manage planning, execution and financial performance of your projects and ensuring they align with client expectations and Russell's core values of Safety, Appreciating People, Client Centric, Integrity, Community and Innovation.
- Develop and lead project management technical and schedule goals, procurement and contractual requirements and resource planning.
- Ensure all project and contractual agreements are met and performed safely and professionally within established budgets and timeframes.
- Adjust priorities and milestones based upon changing customer needs, resource availability and job requirements.
- Manage and lead projects successfully through preconstruction, execution and closeout.
- Identify project risks, potential issues and collaborate to bring successful resolution.
- Build productive and successful relationships with project team members, trade partners and clients.
- Proactively communicate challenges, risks and successes.
- Manage project review with emphasis on financial forecasting.
Requirements
Education and experience include: Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Five years of increasing responsibility in project management and mission critical / electrical construction projects. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules and safety are required. Excellent communication, organization and supervisory skills are essential. Data Center experience required. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
